About the role

Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Case Manager to provide direct mental health services to children. The selected individual will manage and coordinate cases, conduct psychosocial evaluations, provide crisis intervention, and deliver consultation, education, and prevention services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate cases, ensuring children receive the support they need through proper treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children to identify mental health concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and initial contacts to support children in immediate need.
  • Offer consultation, education, and prevention services to families and community stakeholders to support children’s well-being.
  • Develop and monitor treatment plans for children to ensure effective interventions and track progress.

Requirements

  • Behavioral Health Case Manager II: Requires a baccalaureate degree from an accredited program in a behavioral health field. Contingent to training availability, Department sponsored case management certification will be completed within 30 days of start date.
  • Senior Behavioral Health Case Manager II: Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a behavioral health or closely related behavioral science field and two (2) years of experience in professional case management behavioral health services. Contingent to training availability, Department sponsored case management certification will be completed within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

  • Behavioral Health Case Manager II: No specific qualifications beyond a baccalaureate degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Senior Behavioral Health Case Manager II: Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health or closely related behavioral science field and two (2) years of experience in professional case management behavioral health services.

Skills

  • Strong skills in individual, group, and family therapy as well as case management.
  • Experience conducting psychosocial evaluations and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills and ability to provide initial contacts for children in need of urgent support.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to helping children and families navigate their mental health challenges.

Pay

Annual Salary for Behavioral Health Case Manager II: $46,750.00
Annual Salary for Senior Behavioral Health Case Manager II: $48,500.00

Schedule

This role requires coverage 24 hours, 7 days per week. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity. Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
