Join our team as a full-time Behavioral Health Care Manager II at INTEGRIS Health Arcadia Trails in Edmond, OK.

Responsibilities

  • Provides behavioral health case management and behavioral health rehabilitation services.
  • Requires population-specific competencies and mandated training by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS).
  • Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on patient contact level.
  • Provides therapeutic services including rehabilitation group therapy and case management.
  • Conducts pre-screening telephonic interviews to determine candidacy for intensive residential treatment.
  • Facilitates scheduling of on-site intake assessments with medical and behavioral health teams.
  • Assists licensed behavioral health professionals with family and patient screening using standardized assessments.
  • Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team and team conferences.
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, family members, physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
  • Facilitates meetings for plan of care discussion, community resources, and discharge planning.
  • Conducts follow-up telephone interviews at 3, 6, 9, and 12-month intervals using standardized assessment tools.
  • Documents group therapeutic activities in the electronic medical record.
  • Consults with community systems to facilitate linkage, referral, crisis management, advocacy, and follow-up.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with community partners; confirms receipt of referrals.
  • Schedules and coordinates psychological testing, community resources, and vocational referrals as needed.
  • Works exclusively with adult patients.
  • Does not supervise staff.
  • Reports to the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Mental health staff must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients using the CAPE System.
  • May have additional physical demands or respiratory fit test requirements.
  • Potential exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals, and physical danger from disturbed/irate patients.
  • Must follow standard precautions.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years of experience in mental illness and/or substance abuse issues.
  • Education: Candidates must meet one of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or a behavioral health-related field (psychology, social work, nursing, drug and alcohol counseling) from an accredited college or university.
    • Bachelor's degree in any field from a regionally accredited college or university and a current certification from the U.S. Psychiatric Rehab Association (USPRA).
    • Bachelor's degree in any field with proof of active progression toward obtaining a clinical licensure.
    • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • License/Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
    • If not a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager II with the ODMHSAS, certification must be achieved within 3 months of hire date. Failure to obtain certification after two attempts within 3 months may result in termination.
    • Must have a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier (if operating a vehicle for work).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or a behavioral health-related field (psychology, social work, nursing, drug and alcohol counseling).
