Behavioral Health Associate (Non-Exempt)
About the role
Under the supervision of the registered nurse, this position assists in the individualized care of the patient directed toward achieving the patient's highest level of physical and mental wellness. Duties include performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the implementation of the patient care plan
- Performs designated clinical procedures under the direction of a registered nurse
- Assists in unit operational support tasks or duties as assigned
Requirements
The physical demands described here are the representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus:
- Minimal: lift floor to waist height of < 30 lbs (horizontally) and < 40 lbs force
- Frequent: hand coordination, data entry
Qualifications
Preferred Education: Successful completion of a High School Diploma and/or Nurse Assistant training course
Preferred Experience: Behavioral Health, Psych, or Direct Support Professional
