Description: Mission: The Link works with youth and young families to overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice. Our 23 programs provide supportive housing, intensive case management services, and skills development to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness, sex trafficking and/or involvement in the juvenile justice system. The Link prides itself on its innovative, youth-centered, strengths-based programming for youth and families as well as programs that are co-designed, implemented and overseen by youth. Position Specifics Hiring Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000/year based on qualifications Job Type: Full-Time, ExemptLocation: Minneapolis, MNHours/Days: Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00Note: This position requires driving. To be able to drive on behalf of The Link, candidates must have a valid driver's license, have a safe and reliable vehicle, be able to successfully clear a criminal and motor vehicle background check, and maintain personal insurance at the levels of $100,000 Bodily Injury/Per Person and $300,000 Bodily Injury/Per Accident. Description The Behavioral Health and Wellness Director is responsible for planning, leading, developing, and coordinating the policies, services, staff, and subcontracted providers within The Link’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Division. This position ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally responsive behavioral health services are available to youth and families served by The Link. The Director will provide strategic leadership for the continued development of the division, oversee contracted mental health, substance use, and wellness providers, ensure compliance with applicable legal, licensing, contractual, and reporting requirements, and provide direct clinical services to program participants. This role requires clinical licensure, demonstrated experience providing mental health therapy, experience supporting youth in crisis, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed best practices within a mission-driven organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Organizational Leadership Serve as a member of the leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and decision-making.Provide recommendations related to workforce planning, staffing models, succession planning, and organizational structure for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Division and the agency as a whole.Provide recommendations related to workforce planning, staffing models, succession planning, and organizational structure for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Division.Advise executive leadership on behavioral health needs, service gaps, culture, and programmatic opportunities across the organization.Support cross-department collaboration to ensure behavioral health and wellness services are integrated into The Link’s programs and aligned with organizational goals. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Lead and support initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and cultural responsiveness throughout the organization.Evaluate behavioral health practices, policies and service models through an equity lens.Support recruitment, retention, and advancement of a diverse workforce.Ensure services are responsive to the identities, experiences, and needs of youth and families served by The Link, including youth experiencing homelessness, youth involved in the juvenile justice system, LGBTQ+ youth, BIPOC youth, and youth impacted by sexual exploitation or trafficking. Behavioral Health and Wellness Leadership and Program Implementation Work with The Link’s Leadership, Executive Teams and Youth Advisory Committees to further expand and develop our organizations behavioral health and wellness division.Oversee the coordination, contracts, implementation, and performance of subcontracted mental health, substance use, and wellness professionals.Work with the Leadership team and the Finance Department to identify, develop, and implement sustainable revenue streams for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Division.Provide training, coaching, and guidance to The Link staff on behavioral and mental health issues and responses.Provide clinical case consultation to Link program staff as needed and case and care coordination.Provide 10-15 hours per week of individual therapy to Link program participants.Support the development and implementation of therapeutic groups, wellness interventions, and behavioral health supports across programs. Compliance and Policies Develop, manage and implement behavioral and mental health policies, procedures, and service standards.Work in coordination with the Leadership Team – especially our Finance Director and Contracts & Evaluation Director on any contract reporting requirements for the Behavioral Health and Wellness DivisionEnsure timely and accurate responses to requests for information related to site monitoring visits, audits, licensing reviews, and funder requirements.Ensure DHS’s requirements for personnel for Children’s Residential Facilities are metEnsure all services are delivered in accordance with applicable federal, state, local, licensing, and contractual requirements.Maintain appropriate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
