About the role
We're looking for a Behavioral Health Advocate to join our Medical Oncology team in the Roaring Fork Valley. The position offers Employee Referral Bonuses and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Under direction from the Behavioral Health Supervisor and Women’s Health Director, provide care coordination services to patients at risk for health deterioration.
- Assist the Medical Oncology team and Behavioral Health Provider in coordinating and managing patient care, ensuring continuity and coordination across multiple settings and providers.
- Maintain a central role in the coordination and management of care for vulnerable patients, focusing on patients with complex medical, behavioral, and social needs.
Requirements
- Education: Associate or bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Significant experience in behavioral health or substance abuse field will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, communicate verbally, establish and maintain effective working relationships, work under pressure, prioritize tasks, work in Windows-based computer environment, and work professionally.
- Experience: 1 year of medical or behavioral health experience required. Preferred: Experience with Substance Abuse issues.
Qualifications
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish), ability to work independently, ability to understand and present verbal instructions, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, ability to work under pressure, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, ability to work in Windows based computer environment, ability to work in professional manner.

Pay
Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Salary range is $20.00 to $28.87/hour.
