Behavioral Counselor II - Acute Psych Adult - PRN

About the role

Conduct social evaluations by gathering background information from patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare staff to develop individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize assessment data to identify psychosocial risk factors
• Implement clinical interventions to promote mental health
• Support patient rehabilitation and development
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning, care transitions, and resource coordination

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health, social services, or counseling within healthcare, hospital, or community settings
• Valid, unrestricted licensure in Texas, Louisiana, or New Mexico (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMHC), or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment
• Basic Life Support certification

Schedule

Multiple shifts available; per diem, as-needed role.
