About the role

Behavioral Consultants at Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus, LLC provide evidence-based behavioral support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a contracted position, and we are intentionally building a network of independent clinicians who value flexibility, autonomy, and collaborative, team-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and ongoing behavioral evaluation
  • Teach and coach caregivers, direct care staff, and team members on behavior support plan strategies and interventions
  • Develop, implement, and revise Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) in alignment with the Person-Centered Individualized Support Plan (PCISP)
  • Identify the function of behavior
  • Train and consult with caregivers, direct support staff, and team members to ensure consistency across environments
  • Ongoing data review, progress monitoring, and outcome-based recommendations
  • Collaborate with case managers, waiver providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Documentation and reporting in compliance with BDDS waiver standards, timelines, and billing requirements

Requirements

  • CPR & First Aid Certificate
  • Negative TB test prior to providing services to clients
  • Clean background check
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Social Work, or related field
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Active Auto Insurance appropriate for driving associated with this position
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation to and from client locations
  • Not excluded from receiving federal payments for providing healthcare services (Office of Inspector General List of Excluded Individuals and Entities database)
  • Not excluded from federal healthcare programs (System for Award Management (SAM))
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and writing Behavior Support Plans
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Access to electronic devices with access to internet
  • Familiarity working with individuals (children and/or adults) with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or Autism
  • Familiarity working with an electronic health/medical record system (EHR/EMR)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Experience working as a Behavioral Consultant
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security standards
