Healthcare$19–$24/hrPart-time

About the role

Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role uses evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. At the end of each day, technicians go home knowing they have made a meaningful impact on the life of a child and their family. Comprehensive training is provided so candidates are equipped and empowered to help each child, even without prior experience.

Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, so the role requires resilience of spirit, mind, and body. Part of the work involves being active, so technicians need to be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
