About the role
The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Part-Time Fee-for-Service Behavior Technician to provide community-based ABA support to two individuals in their 30s who have high-functioning autism in Watertown, MA. Weekly number of hours will average 6-12 hours per week. Hourly rate: $25/hr.
Responsibilities
- Implement, model, and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA concentrating on social skills, communication, and behavioral support.
- Work collaboratively and independently with team members, especially parents.
- Assist in training parents and caregivers who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable transporting persons served using their own personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Requirements
- Candidates must meet one of three requirements:
- (1) BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education or human service-related field;
- (2) Associate's degree and a minimum of two years relevant direct experience with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges and autism;
- (3) At least one year of experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in a therapeutic setting
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be able to meet our safe driving requirements.
- Experience in implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism is required.
- Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching new skills, including direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis, and other ABA methods preferred.
- Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or Autism.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player.

Pay
Hourly rate: $25/hr.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday - 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
