Behavior Technician - Fee for Service PT

About the role

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Part-Time Fee-for-Service Behavior Technician to provide community-based ABA support to two individuals in their 30s who have high-functioning autism in Watertown, MA. Weekly number of hours will average 6-12 hours per week. Hourly rate: $25/hr.

Responsibilities

• Implement, model, and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA concentrating on social skills, communication, and behavioral support.
• Work collaboratively and independently with team members, especially parents.
• Assist in training parents and caregivers who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable transporting persons served using their own personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Requirements

• Candidates must meet one of three requirements:
• (1) BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education or human service-related field;
• (2) Associate's degree and a minimum of two years relevant direct experience with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges and autism;
• (3) At least one year of experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in a therapeutic setting

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be able to meet our safe driving requirements.
• Experience in implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism is required.
• Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching new skills, including direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis, and other ABA methods preferred.
• Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or Autism.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player.

Skills

Pay

Hourly rate: $25/hr.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday - 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
