About the role

Cultivate is seeking a Behavior Therapist to provide in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conduct Discrete Trials, Natural Environment Teaching, and various teaching/reinforcement methods in line with the Behavior Support Plan
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to implement ABA therapy principles and teaching procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience in the field OR Associate's degree with 2 years' experience in the field.
  • Experience in the field: Having worked with children OR having worked with individuals with ASD.
  • Experience: Childcare, healthcare, or mental health preferred (but we will train the right candidate)
  • Dependability: Consistency and reliability is crucial for the child's success
  • Integrity: Work in the child's home without constant supervision
  • Positivity & Patience: Focus on positive reinforcement and repetition
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Strong technology skills for data collection and entry
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while being an active participant who contributes to team activities, meetings, and training
  • Ability to set and achieve goals that benefit the patient, the team, and the BT/RBT
  • Ability to receive feedback, coaching, and counseling while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to be a continuous learner
  • Pass a background screen, reference checks, and drug screen

Pay

Schedule

  • Flexible Hours; primary need between 2:30-6 M-F
  • Hours: 10-15 hours a week; possibility for more during summer and on school breaks
