On-siteOTHR$20–$29/hrPart-time

Location: Field Based (In child’s natural environment: Home, School, Community)

About the role

As a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in our in-home program, you will work one-on-one with children with autism in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), every session is an opportunity to help a child speak their first words, try a new food, make a friend, or gain independence in daily life. You will implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living (ADLs), and social skills — making a measurable difference in each child's journey.

  • Travel to clients' homes and provide one-on-one ABA therapy in a naturalistic, home-based setting.
  • Implement individualized, evidence-based ABA treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA to address each child's unique goals.
  • Collect and record precise data to track each child's progress and inform ongoing treatment updates.
  • Collaborate with your supervising BCBA and the child's family to ensure consistency and carry-over of skills in the home environment.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (required for in-home travel)
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping children with autism reach their goals
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress)
  • 6+ months of experience working with children

Certification Note: Applicants who are not yet RBT-certified must complete the RBT coursework and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. We actively support you through this process.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform physical activities including reaching, grasping, walking briskly, running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and transitioning quickly between positions throughout the day.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively using verbal and non-verbal methods appropriate for each child.
  • Successfully complete Safety Care training and annual re-certifications, including carrying children per Safety Care protocols. Active participation in Safety Care is a condition of employment.
