Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About the role
Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for those with a passion for transforming the lives of children and families, and those who enjoy working with kids in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients (ages 2-12)
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior support plans
- Record and document therapy sessions
- Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress
- Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials
- Maintain and expand functional and technical knowledge through required trainings
- Prepare for and take the RBT exam
- Foster a positive work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
- Basic computer skills for data collection and session documentation
- Ability to lift and carry clients up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to restrain/hold/transport clients as needed
- Manual dexterity for specific computer and electronic device functions
- Visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and be detail-oriented
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and clients
- Integrity and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 2-12 in a classroom, day care, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting
- Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Education in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences
- Experience as a daycare / preschool worker, paraprofessional, DSP, nanny, babysitter, or similar role

Pay
Competitive pay starting at $18-$20.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Guaranteed 40-hour work weeks from 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, Monday to Friday, with a stable schedule and no travel required.
