Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About the role
Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for those with a passion for transforming the lives of children and families, and a desire to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 therapy to children aged 2-12 with autism or other developmental and language delays.
- Implement prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
- Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding the client’s progress.
- Absorb and maintain functional and technical knowledge through required trainings.
- Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Foster a positive working environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Experience working with children ages 2-12 in a classroom, day care, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the team and clients.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a strong background in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences, or relevant experience in daycare, preschool, or similar settings.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Manual dexterity for computer and electronic device functions.
- Visual acuity for reading and comprehending written communication.
- Ability to lift and carry clients up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines.

Pay
Competitive pay starting at $18-$20.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Steady Monday to Friday hours from 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, right at our center. No travel needed!
