Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for those with a passion for transforming the lives of children and families, and a desire to work in a supportive and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 therapy sessions to children with autism or developmental delays
• Implement and modify behavior support plans as directed by the Behavior Analyst
• Collect and document data during therapy sessions
• Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress
• Assist the Behavior Analyst in organizing and preparing client materials
• Maintain and expand functional and technical knowledge through required trainings
• Prepare for and take the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid fingerprint clearance card
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the team and clients
• Ability to work with children ages 2-12 in various settings
• Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis principles

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• College degree in psychology, social services, early education, or related field
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings

Skills

Essential skills for this role include:

• Manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation
• Visual acuity for reading and comprehending written communication
• Ability to lift and carry clients up to 30 pounds
• Knowledge of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and clients

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $17-$20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
