About the role
Astra ABA is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in their home setting, implementing treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in a home setting
- Implement treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision
- Utilize ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, and natural environment teaching (NET)
- Support skill development in communication, social, play, adaptive, and academic domains
- Collect accurate data on client progress during every session and submit same-day SOAP notes
- Collaborate and maintain clear communication with BCBAs, families, and team members
- Protect client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Adhere to BACB Ethics Code for RBTs and company policies
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision as required
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 6 months experience utilizing ABA therapy, working with individuals with autism in a supervised setting (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must have verifiable work references and pass a background check
- Motivated team player with patience and professionalism
