Behavior Technician (BT)

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in-home setting.
  • Implement treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity under BCBA supervision.
  • Utilize ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, and natural environment teaching (NET).
  • Support skill development in communication, social, play, adaptive, and academic domains.
  • Collect accurate data on client progress during every session and submit same-day SOAP notes.
  • Collaborate and maintain clear communication with BCBAs, families, and team members.
  • Protect client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Adhere to BACB Ethics Code for RBTs only and company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision as required.

Requirements

Passionate and dedicated to providing quality care for children with special needs.

Experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and families.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for home visits.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current CPR certification.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field.

BCaBA certification preferred but not required.

Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.

Ability to work flexible hours including after-school hours and weekends.
