Behavior Technician

About the role

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll work one-on-one with children with autism, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and play to build communication, confidence, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles
• Monitor and document client progress in real-time
• Collaborate with a supportive team to provide comprehensive care
• Adapt therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each child
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and strategies

Requirements

• At least 18 years old on your first day of employment
• Ability to pass a background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• State-specific RBT requirements (see above)

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children
• Passion for helping individuals with autism and special needs
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with ABA therapy and/or child development preferred but not required
