Behavior Technician
About the role
We’re hiring part-time positions (10–20 hours per week) in the San Fernando Valley area with the ability to grow to full-time once schools are back in session. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference while gaining hands-on, real-world experience supporting clients in their home settings. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to clients
- Implement behavior strategies using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Support skill development in communication, socialization, play, motor skills, self-help, and school readiness
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to create positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and plans
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Access to a mobile phone (for email) and basic internet (if working offsite)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance with minimum 25/50k liability coverage
- Ability to travel to multiple locations
- Must pass a DOJ/FBI background check
- Current TB Test
- CPR/First Aid Certification
Physical Qualifications
Support is provided in a variety of settings such as homes, schools, or clinics. Ability to work in settings with moderate to loud noise levels. Comfort working with individuals who may display a wide range of behaviors and needs. Could include the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
