About the role

The Behavior Technician will implement clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provide ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, under the direction of their supervising BCBA. Responsibilities include monitoring client behavior, collecting and reporting data, and collaborating with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED and 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
  • An associate degree or higher in a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree/certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and 12 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and 12 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA program requirements
  • Required availability after school, evening, and late evening hours
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A compassionate approach to care
  • Access to a laptop or CPS, high-speed secure internet, and a phone
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions is preferred.

Schedule

Part-time, fee-for-service position with a summer schedule benefit: Summer Fun Fridays—closing at 12:30 PM every Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Pay

$20–$27/hour depending on experience, with potential for full-time hours.
