About What You’ll Work On
- Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to children with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center.
- Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the child's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
- Relay information on your clients’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
- Accurately record the child’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work-assigned tablet at the end of each session.
- Clock in, submit session notes, and clock out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
- Help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.
- Assist children with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
- Voice questions, issues, and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.
- Help build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.
Qualifications
- Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!).
- Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work with computers.
- If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
- Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent (required). A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
