About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
- Provide support and encouragement to children and their families
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with BCBA and other staff members
- Document progress and communicate with parents and caregivers
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements

- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based interventions

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20 - $26 per hour.
Schedule
Hours may vary based on client needs and may include evenings and weekends.
