About the role

Join our team as a Behavior Technician and help children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) thrive through personalized ABA therapy. You'll work closely with families to build communication, social, play, and everyday life skills using ABA therapy in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home and community-based ABA therapy
  • Track client progress during sessions
  • Implement behavior support plans and ensure client safety
  • Actively engage with children, maintaining energy, patience, and professionalism
  • Complete documentation using electronic devices
  • Travel reliably between assigned client locations
  • Lift or assist children and equipment up to 50 lbs as required

Requirements

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
  • Recent experience working with children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Open and flexible availability across multiple days and times, including daytime, after-school, and evening sessions
  • Personal and reliable transportation; comfortable driving to client homes
  • Access to a smartphone or similar device with internet services for capturing client session data
  • Ability to stay active throughout the day (sitting on the floor, kneeling, bending, crouching, standing, and transitioning between positions)
  • Must be able to respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviors

Qualifications

We encourage you to apply if you have 6 months of recent experience in any of the following roles:

  • Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Paraprofessional, Instructional Aide, or Special Education Aide
  • Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, or Respite Worker
  • Youth Coach, Preschool Teacher, or Teacher's Assistant
  • Childcare Provider, Nanny, Babysitter, or Camp Counselor
  • Tutor, Substitute Teacher, or Behavioral Health Technician
  • Interventionist, Social Services Worker, or Foster Care Worker
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Autism Advocate, or Mental Health Advocate
  • After-School Program Staff or Childcare Volunteer

Additionally, we welcome applicants who are currently pursuing or have completed coursework or a degree in:

  • Psychology, Education, or Special Education
  • Early Childhood Education or Human Development
  • Child Development, Sociology, or Social Work
  • Behavioral Sciences or a related field
