About the role

At Behavioral Framework, we help children and young adults (up to age 21) build communication, social, and daily living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. As a Part-Time Behavior Technician, you’ll work one-on-one with a child in their home, implementing personalized behavior plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior plans created by your BCBA supervisor
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage progress
  • Collect session data and write progress notes
  • Collaborate with your BCBA and caregivers to support client development
  • Engage in play-based learning activities that build trust and skills

Requirements

No prior ABA experience is required — we provide free training and certification. Our technicians typically work 4–5 afternoon/evening shifts per week with the same client for 4–5 hour sessions, building consistent relationships that help children make meaningful progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children (childcare, tutoring, teaching, coaching, etc.)
  • High School or Equivalent Education
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation/Car
  • Access to a mobile device and ability to navigate technology platforms such as Zoom and Email
  • Physically and actively able to participate in the implementation of all aspects of ABA therapy
  • Able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing)
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
  • Available 4–5 weekdays, working 4–5 hours per day within that window

Pay

$23/hour starting pay with opportunities for pay increase as early as 6 months (higher for candidates already RBT certified)
