Behavior Support Specialist Part-Time

About the role

This position is responsible for providing individual or group client care and assisting in the planning, implementation, social, occupational, and other developmental programs for adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and psychiatric disorders at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health League City.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or group client care.
• Assist in planning and implementing social, occupational, and developmental programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license must be maintained.

Requirements

• One (1) year of previous experience in a Psychiatric facility preferred.
• One (1) year of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disabilities preferred.
• Must comply with Devereux’s zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintain policies to reduce risk.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption is required due to CMS mandate.

Pay

• Starting pay: $15.00/hr (increases based on education/experience).
• Evening shift differential: +$1.50/hr (3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM).
• Additional $0.50 shift differential for applicable shifts.

Schedule

• Part-Time, all shifts available: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
