As a Behavioral Support Clinician II, you will provide advanced clinical behavioral support to adults with intellectual, developmental, behavioral health, and mental health needs in a residential program in the Greater Danbury Area. You will partner with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment strategies, strengthen therapeutic programming, and help individuals build the skills needed to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This role is ideal for experienced behavioral health professionals looking to expand their clinical impact within a supportive, collaborative, and mission-driven organization. What You Will Do:Develop individualized Behavior Support Plans using ABA principles and Positive Behavior SupportsMonitor treatment integrity, analyze behavioral data, and adjust programming to ensure positive outcomesBuild therapeutic relationships with individuals while integrating behavioral strategies into everyday supportsProvide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and formal training to residential and program staff to promote best practicesPartner with Residential Program Managers to support therapeutic programming, reinforcement systems, crisis response, and overall program qualityParticipate in intake assessments, transition planning, and discharge planning to promote continuity of careServe as a key member of interdisciplinary teams by collaborating with nurses, therapists, psychiatrists, outpatient providers, family members, and other community partnersFacilitate and participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and treatment reviewsMaintain accurate behavioral documentation, clinical records, and regulatory reports in compliance with agency policies and state and federal requirementsWhat You Will Need:Master's degree in a related field requiredMinimum of two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injuries requiredKnowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavioral principles requiredStrong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skillsExperience supporting individuals with behavioral and mental health challenges strongly preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation required Perks and Benefits:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageMedical, dental, vision, and pet insuranceGenerous paid time off that increases with tenure403(b) retirement plan and PSLF loan forgiveness eligibilityMileage reimbursement for travel between programsOpportunities for continued clinical growth, professional development, and BCBA supportEmployee Assistance Program with mental health and wellness supportAn inclusive workplace committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belongingWatch a day in the life at Ability Beyond:Ability Beyond YouTube Video Join Ability Beyond, where you can be accepted, celebrated, and truly impactful.
