Behavior Resource Assistant - TEMPORARY position will end June 2027
Temporary position ending June 2027. Salary range: $19.78 - $24.33 per hour. Located at Takena Elementary School.
About the Role
Provides behavior support for students and promotes positive behaviors. May work in a focus room setting or primarily with specific students exhibiting heightened behavior issues, including those who are verbally abusive, present a risk of physical harm to themselves or others, or have outbursts involving throwing objects or damaging property. This position works with the general student population, unlike Structured Support-SEA roles in self-contained special education classes.
Requirements
- Two years of college (minimum 72 credits in academic coursework), or
- Associate Degree or higher, or
- Pass the Highly Qualified exam
Schedule
- 7.25 hours per day
- 179-day work calendar (9-month elementary school year)
