About the role

Easterseals Southern California offers opportunities for individuals looking to begin or continue a career in psychology, behavioral health, or autism services. Our Behavior Interventionists provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to families and children on the autism spectrum. We provide ongoing training and clearly defined career paths for those interested in gaining a greater understanding of autism and behavioral therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum and their families.
  • Lift, carry, and load/unload toys and materials for home visits.
  • Engage in frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe, assess, and interact with participants.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with children.
  • Previous experience working with children or people with special needs and an interest in behavioral health.
  • Availability to work afternoons/early evenings and possible weekend mornings.
  • Own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance.
  • Proof of immunization records and TB test.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Availability for initial 2-week training schedule (Monday–Friday, about 35 hours).
  • Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week within the main working hours: Monday–Friday 3PM–8PM and Saturday 9AM–1PM.
