Behavior Health Technician

About the role

This position involves providing one-on-one support to children and adolescents in various settings such as home, school, daycare, and community. The primary responsibilities include helping children build communication, social, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills, supporting positive behavior change, following individualized treatment plans, collaborating with families and treatment team members, and documenting session data.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children and adolescents in home, school, daycare, and community settings
• Help children build communication, social, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills
• Support positive behavior change using strategies taught through our ABA training program
• Follow individualized treatment plans created by clinical supervisors
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and treatment team members to support client success
• Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and their support systems
• Collect and document session data and progress notes accurately and promptly
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
• Travel between client locations throughout the community

Requirements

Experience working with children or adolescents in any capacity, including: childcare, teaching or educational settings, coaching or sports programs, summer camps, youth programs, behavioral health or human services, mentoring or volunteer work with youth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently while remaining a part of a team, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between service locations are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field being a plus.
