About the role
The Behavior Analyst I for the Achievements ABA (A-ABA) program at the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation, will provide clinical services, clinical supervision, and case management as specified by the Assistant Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services, supervision, and case management for assigned individuals.
- Conduct functional and descriptive behavioral assessments and interpret assessment results.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans using applied behavior analysis, including NDBI strategies embedded within natural routines and activities.
- Establish and oversee data collection systems; analyze behavioral data to guide clinical decision-making.
- Provide caregiver education, coaching, and consultation to promote generalization and maintenance of skills.
- Train and supervise staff, students, and/or trainees in assessment, intervention, data collection, and fidelity of implementation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to integrate behavioral and developmental perspectives into service delivery.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and program activities as required.
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and professional standards.
- Adhere to ethical standards as defined by the BACB and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Must possess and maintain licensure as a Behavior Analyst in the State of Maryland.
- Must complete, within 1 month of hire, the required BACB 8-hour supervisor training to allow for supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians.
- Maintain up-to-date status in company-provided in-service topics required by and according to the timeline established by the department.
Education
- A Master’s degree or higher in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field is required.
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting working with preschool-aged children with autism is required.
- Experience conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc. is preferred.
