Beginning School Collaborative Teacher

About the Role

As a Collaborative Teacher at Moravian Academy's Beginning School, you'll partner with a lead teacher to create a vibrant learning environment for Preschool through Kindergarten students. Your role involves leading small groups, designing hands-on learning experiences, and fostering a classroom atmosphere where each child feels safe, seen, and eager to explore.

You'll be a steady presence throughout the day, from greeting students at arrival to guiding them through lunch, recess, and celebrating their growth. This role thrives on building genuine relationships with young children and their families, implementing research-based early childhood practices, and collaborating closely with teaching partners, campus colleagues, and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a lead teacher to bring Preschool through Kindergarten classrooms to life.
• Lead small groups and design hands-on, play-based learning experiences.
• Support students throughout the day, including arrival, lunch, recess, and daily routines.
• Create a classroom culture rooted in curiosity, kindness, and inclusion.
• Collaborate with teaching partners, campus colleagues, and specialists.
• Engage in team meetings, family conferences, field trips, and community events.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's preferred).
• Experience working with preschool- or primary-aged children.
• Warm, patient approach and genuine enthusiasm for early learning.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Familiarity with tools like Seesaw, Responsive Classroom, or Singapore Math.

All offers are contingent on completing Pennsylvania's required background clearances (Act 34, Act 151, Act 114) and Mandated Reporter training upon hire.
