About the role

As an AlphaBEST Program Leader, you'll be trained to:

• Lead a group of students through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
• Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.

Responsibilities

• Lead before and after school programs for students in TK-5th grade (PreK only at Glankler Early Learning).

Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of at least 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, specifically covering:
  • Child Growth and Development
  • Child, Family, and Community
  • ECE Curriculum
• At least 6 months of experience at a licensed preschool (minimum of 3 hours per day for 50 days).
• Individuals who possess a CDA credential may substitute the required six months of work experience.
• A teacher must have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement, or obtained a Child Development Assistant Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Schedule

Must be available Monday - Friday. Hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with two shifts offered. No weekends.

Pay

$19.00 per hour with a $250.00 hiring bonus.
