Before and After School Group Leader
About the role
AlphaBEST Education is hiring Group Leaders for Before & After School Programs at Cherry Hill and Roosevelt Elementary Schools for the 2026/2027 school year. Looking to gain leadership experience while you're in school? AlphaBEST provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive, gaining valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team. This role is ideal for students studying Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation, or Youth Development.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
- Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
- Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
- Flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

$17.00/hour
Schedule
7:00-8:30am & 3:00-6:00pm
