Before and After School Group Leader

About the role

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As a Group Leader, you will help shape meaningful before and after school moments that support children’s learning, growth, and development.

This role is ideal for students studying Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation, or Youth Development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times and follow all procedures closely.
• Maintain a clean and organized space.
• Help create an inclusive environment where kids feel supported.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Flexible, reliable, and ready to assist wherever needed.

Pay

$19.00/hour

Schedule

7:00–8:30 AM and 2:30–6:30 PM at Gillette Elementary and Millington Elementary Schools for the 2026/2027 school year.
