How This Role Contributes To The Y’s Mission
Youth Specialists for the Before & After School Enrichment program facilitate activities that foster overall character building for school-aged children. They ensure the health and welfare of children at all times and provide peace of mind to parents and guardians by ensuring their children are safe during work hours. This role contributes to the Y movement by offering enriching activities and creating a supportive environment for youth.
Requirements
- An interest in the well-being of school-age children
- Enthusiasm, patience, and good humor
- A good spirit
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, school administration, and other Y associates
- The ability to be flexible and work at multiple locations
- The ability to work between the hours of 7am – 6pm
- The ability to work up to morning or afternoon shifts

All Y associates agree to abide by the Code of Conduct with Youth, which sets clear expectations for associates and volunteers to ensure a safe and respectful environment for young people.
