Before & After School Care Worker

MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principators Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our team as a K-12 teacher in an alternative certification program. This role is ideal for professionals transitioning into education who are passionate about making a difference in students' lives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and district standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods.
• Collaborate with other educators, staff, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
• Address the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs and English language learners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative route.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated passion for education and student success.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with K-12 students in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or related fields) is preferred but not required.
• Experience in classroom management and instructional strategies is a plus.
• Familiarity with Michigan educational standards and curriculum frameworks.
