About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our team as a K-12 teacher in an alternative certification program. This role is ideal for professionals transitioning into education who are passionate about making a difference in students' lives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and district standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods.
- Collaborate with other educators, staff, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
- Address the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs and English language learners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative route.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated passion for education and student success.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with K-12 students in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or related fields) is preferred but not required.
- Experience in classroom management and instructional strategies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Michigan educational standards and curriculum frameworks.
