Before/After Care Teacher

Grand Avenue Preschool’s Before and After School Program in LaGrange Highlands is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support our School‑Age program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Previous childcare experience

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7 am – 9 am AND/OR 2 pm – 6 pm.

Pay

$17 – $19 per hour, based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the program
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
