About the Role

Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Nursing Coordinator and/or Assistant Clinical Coordinator and in collaboration with the Provider and/or Mid‑Level Provider, the incumbent plans, directs, and provides nursing care in accordance with United Medical Centers’ philosophy, policies, and procedures. The role includes ensuring smooth operation of the assigned unit, providing health education and disease‑prevention services, and delivering age‑appropriate care across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and provide nursing care in line with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain smooth operation of the assigned unit as demonstrated by competency assessments.
• Assist in delivering health education and disease‑prevention services as needed.
• Provide care appropriate to patients’ age groups, recognizing specific needs of infants, adolescents, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, PCHM standards, and other compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited vocational training program for Medical Assistants.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (required).
• Current CPR certification.
• At least two years of nursing experience in various specialties (preferred).
• One to two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Prior experience in patient education programs (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cardiac care) (preferred).
