Responsibilities

• Handle transactions and provide excellent service to customers.
• Ensure a smooth checkout experience.
• Provide customer service skills including:
• A friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in cash or change.
• Performing basic arithmetic to handle transactions and provide accurate change.
• Managing multiple tasks efficiently, such as scanning items, bagging, and handling payments.
• Resolving issues like transaction errors, customer complaints, or discrepancies.
• Managing checkout lines and reducing customer wait times.
• Operating a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and related tools.
• Handling different forms of payment (credit/debit cards, cash, gift cards, etc.).
• Maintaining integrity and trustworthiness during transactions.
• Following company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain efficient store operations.
• Assist in other duties as needed, such as restocking or cleaning.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
