About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department aims to enhance customers' confidence and satisfaction. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, engage with customers, and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Create personalized beauty experiences for customers
• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations based on customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using various selling tools
• Manage vendor events and promotions, maintaining strong relationships with brands
• Keep the department ready for customers through organization and cleanliness
• Stay updated on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training
• Manage sales transactions, handle returns, exchanges, and encourage new Nordstrom Rewards sign-ups

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with customers and handle concerns professionally
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Drive to achieve sales targets, interested in leveraging networking and technology
• Flexible schedule, capable of working evenings and weekends
• High level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Qualifications

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

The pay range for this role is $27.20 - $28.30 hourly, depending on the location and job-related factors.
