About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department aims to enhance customers' confidence and style. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will provide personalized beauty services, collaborate with the team to create a welcoming environment, and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations based on customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive store environment
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales targets, utilizing both in-store and digital selling tools
• Manage vendor events and promotions, building strong relationships with brands
• Keep the department organized and ready for customers, ensuring cleanliness and availability of products
• Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training
• Manage sales transactions, handle returns, exchanges, and encourage customer loyalty by enrolling them in the Nordstrom Rewards program

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with customers and address concerns
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Drive to achieve sales goals, interested in leveraging networking and technology
• Flexible schedule, capable of working evenings and weekends as needed
• High level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Qualifications

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Pay

The pay range for this role is $22.05 - $22.95 hourly, with commissions varying based on the merchandise sold. For Los Angeles or San Francisco applicants, please note that background checks are conducted after conditional offers and consideration is given to qualified applicants with criminal histories.
