About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks to enhance its customers' confidence and style. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, engage with customers, and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Create personalized beauty experiences for customers
• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations
• Celebrate and educate customers on the latest beauty trends
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive store environment
• Manage vendor events and promotions
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to boost business results
• Keep the department ready for customers through organization and cleanliness
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and encourage new Nordstrom Rewards sign-ups
• Stay updated on beauty industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with customers and handle concerns professionally
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ownership, accountability, and initiative

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a sales or customer service role preferred
• Knowledge of beauty products and trends
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Pay

The pay range for this role is $27.00 - $28.10 hourly, with commissions varying based on the merchandise sold.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
