About the role

Under direction from the Cosmetics Selling Manager, the Beauty Advisor provides outstanding customer service, builds individual and vendor line sales volumes, establishes and maintains customer relationships, and works effectively with team members to drive business success. Responsibilities include in-house training, pre-booked facial consultation events, and maintaining a properly merchandised counter while closing retail sales.

Responsibilities

• Model all Neiman Marcus Principles: Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, and Thank.
• Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line, event, and department sales goals.
• Maintain a high level of customer service by developing strong customer relationships as a brand expert.
• Act as a liaison between Neiman Marcus and designated Account Executives.
• Use Neiman Marcus’s clienteling system to record and maintain client information and preferences.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience from approach to sale and follow-up.
• Maintain counter standards, ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming selling area.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics environment.
• Proven success in sales, including exceeding quotas.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in learning and using online clienteling tools and proprietary software.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Sound business judgment and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in professional makeup and treatment consultation and application.

Pay

Salary range: $22.03 – $27.54 per hour. Factors affecting starting pay include geographic location, market conditions, experience, and other job-related qualifications.
