Responsibilities

• Engage each guest to determine their individual needs and provide an exceptional experience
• Conduct cashier tasks, process sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Keep fixtures stocked with merchandise and maintain overall store cleanliness
• Assist with on-line orders and support execution of in-store events
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales
• Book appointments for services and in-store events
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance
• Stay informed about new and existing products, ingredients, and benefits
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
• Participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
• Keep assigned work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensure testers are available
• Maintain outstanding store standards including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and processing/unloading shipments
• Follow loss prevention best practices and provide exceptional guest service

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred

Skills

• Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Special Position Requirements

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shift
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift
