Beauty Advisor

Overview

The Beauty Advisor (BA) plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for guests, supporting the leadership team, and driving sales and guest loyalty.

General Summary & Scope

The BA is responsible for providing exceptional service, managing inventory, and executing in-store events. They must be passionate about the beauty industry, have a strong understanding of products, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding retail and service sales goals.
• Engage guests to understand their needs and provide personalized service.
• Handle customer service issues, manage refunds, and assist with on-line orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
• Book and support services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Share guest loyalty program benefits and collaborate with managers and associates.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance professional development and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow loss prevention best practices and provide exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently and as part of a team.

Special Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
