We offer Skilled Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitative Care, Social Work Services, and Recreational Activities.
About the role
We are seeking a licensed Beautician/Barber to provide hair and beauty services to our residents. This position offers flexible scheduling and pay based on workload.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment and the beauty parlor in a clean and tidy manner daily
- Style hair according to residents’ requests and preferences
- Apply chemicals competently for permanents, relaxers, and color treatments
- Promote a friendly and positive atmosphere while delivering beauty services
- Ensure a safe environment for residents and staff in the Beauty Shop
- Demonstrate knowledge of chemicals and processes used in services
- Identify and respond promptly and sensitively to residents’ needs during services
- Maintain a beauty parlor log for residents receiving services
Requirements
- Licensed by the State of New York in cosmetology
- Proof of liability insurance
- Completed medical clearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as a beautician or barber
- Experience in a healthcare facility preferred
