Beach Shop Sales Associate- Seasonal

About the role

The Beach Shop Sales Associate performs a variety of duties related to the operation of the Beach Shop, with a strong focus on member service and sales.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the retail shop, adhering to all procedures in the NorthStar system
• Greet members and guests, making them feel comfortable and offering assistance
• Interact with members, guests, and family members to respond to queries about products and purchases
• Provide recommendations based on members' needs and preferences
• Locate merchandise for members and place orders when necessary
• Introduce and familiarize members with promotions and new merchandise
• Operate the P.O.S. system for member charges, including credit card transactions, sales, and refunds
• Stay up to date with sales trends and product knowledge to better serve members and achieve sales goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of retail experience, preferably with men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient in typing
• Knowledge of PCs, including Microsoft Office Software (preferred)
• Exceptional people and phone skills
• NorthStar experience (preferred)
