About the Role

As a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse at NHC HealthCare Oakwood, you will provide compassionate, individualized nursing care that supports each patient’s health, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Our nurses are an essential part of the interdisciplinary care team and help guide the care journey for our patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess patients, develop individualized care plans, implement treatments, and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide attentive, compassionate care while respecting each patient’s individual needs, preferences, and wishes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Organize and prioritize nursing responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely care.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing assistants and other members of the care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.
• Promote a positive, supportive, and family-oriented environment for patients, families, and fellow partners.

Requirements

• Current Tennessee RN or LPN license
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
• A compassionate approach to caring for the geriatric population
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
