BCN PACE Transportation Driver-FT

Position Summary

The PACE Transportation Driver is responsible for the direct transportation of PACE participants to and from their destinations, including home, the PACE Center, medical providers, etc.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current Kentucky driver’s license, with a minimum of two years’ driving experience.
• At least one year of work experience in transporting passengers.
• Minimum of one year’s experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs or must receive appropriate training upon hire.
• Minimum of one year’s experience working with a frail or elderly population or must receive appropriate training upon hire.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Proficient reading and writing comprehension skills.
• No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion.
• No more than 2 moving traffic violations during the previous 36 months.
• No driving under the influence (DUI) [Drug or Alcohol] conviction during the previous 5 years in a commercial or personal motor vehicle.
• Communicative, pleasant, and courteous.
• Able to keep accurate records; well organized.
• Entry level computer skills needed.
• Must be a licensed driver.

Service Coverage

This role is responsible for providing services in both the Lexington (LEX) and Frankfort (FFT) regions.
