BCBA -Track Clinical Associate
Position Overview
This is a supported, training-forward role designed specifically for graduate students currently enrolled in an ABA or related master's program and actively accumulating supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification. You will work closely alongside our Clinical Director and supervising BCBAs, gaining hands-on, real-world experience in a structured, mentorship-rich environment.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Employee Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (dependent on program progress and supervised hours accumulated)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday in office | Friday work from home
Location: 2369 Lincoln Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001
Supervision: Direct clinical supervision provided by Clinical Director and/or supervising BCBA
What You'll Be Doing
Under the direct guidance and supervision of a credentialed BCBA/Clinical Director, you will:
- Learn to conduct and draft Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) under BCBA supervision, following structured mentorship and review at each stage
- Support the drafting of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), with all plans reviewed, revised as needed, and approved by your supervising BCBA before submission
- Absorb and prepare behavioral progress reports (annual, semi-annual, 30-day) using company templates, with close guidance from the clinical team to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Shadow and participate in participant data collection, behavioral observation, and data interpretation exercises to build your clinical skill set
- Participate in the Monthly ICO and PAM Behavior Audit alongside your supervising BCBA, learning the audit process step by step in a structured, team-supported setting
- Implement and monitor behavioral interventions as directed by your supervising BCBA, with ongoing feedback and coaching provided
- Work alongside RBTs and BDSP staff to support BSP implementation fidelity, under clinical direction from your supervisor
- Submit weekly written status reports to the Clinical Director and supervising BCBA by 5:00 PM Pacific each Friday, with support available to help you develop your professional reporting skills
Attend coordination meetings with the clinical team, Program Directors, and Executive Director — providing you with exposure to real-world program operations and multi-disciplinary collaboration
Receive regular supervision meetings to support your supervised fieldwork hours in alignment with BACB requirements
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including in-service training, case consultation, and skill-building exercises tailored to your program progress
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a BACB-approved graduate program (master's level or higher) in Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology, or closely related field
Actively accumulating supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification
BccaBA certification is a plus but not required
Genuine passion for supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting
Openness to feedback, mentorship, and continuous learning
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) and a willingness to learn clinical documentation platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Completed or currently enrolled in coursework covering FBAs, BSP development, ethics, and measurement systems
Prior experience (paid or volunteer) working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Familiarity with BACB supervision requirements and fieldwork hour tracking
