Responsibilities
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving by guiding clients towards safe and acceptable behaviors.
- Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses while ensuring success.
- Increase the occurrence and duration of desirable behaviors by providing positive reinforcement.
- Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors to support the clients’ needs.
Qualifications
- Enrolled or graduated from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program. To meet HHF's criteria: Program must have BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% of higher for 3 consecutive years OR be ABAI/APBA accredited program.
- Pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment (if not already certified).
- Must be active RBT for 60 days with HHF.
- Strong verbal and written communication for speaking with clients’ families and recording session notes.
